Investment advisers are required by law to inform their clients of their policies regarding privacy of client information.
We are bound by professional standards of confidentiality that are even more stringent than those required by law. Federal law gives the customer the right to limit some but not all sharing of personal information. It also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information.
Types of Nonpublic Personal Information (NPI) We Collect
We collect nonpublic personal information about you that is either provided to us by you or obtained by us with your authorization. This can include but is not limited to your Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Banking Information, Financial Account Numbers and/or Balances, Sources of Income, and Credit Card Numbers or Information. When you are no longer our customer, we may continue to share your information only as described in this notice.
We collect information from you when you fill out a contact form or register for events such as our financial advisor conferences.
In these forms, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, and in some cases professional or licensing information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. In addition, you may call our offices at any time during Eastern USA business hours to contact us without revealing your contact information electronically.
When interacting with one of our Investment Adviser Representatives (IARs), the same types of NPI are collected, and all data collected by IARs is subject to the terms of this policy. We maintain oversight of IAR data handling through regular supervision and compliance reviews.
Digital data we collect may include IP addresses, browser type, device type, operating system, and website usage data through cookies or similar technologies (e.g. Google Analytics).
Parties to Whom We Disclose Information
All Investment Advisers may need to share personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons that we may share your personal information:
- For everyday business purposes – such as to process your transactions, maintain your account(s), respond to court orders and legal investigations, or report to credit bureaus;
- For our marketing – to offer our products and services to you, including financial planning and educational events;
- For joint marketing with other financial companies;
- For our affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your transactions and experiences; or
- For non-affiliates to market to you.
Clients may opt out of sharing information for joint marketing to other financial companies, to our affiliates, and to non-affiliates. If you are a new customer, we may begin sharing your information on the day you sign our agreement. When you are no longer our customer, we may continue to share your information as described in this notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Virginia, or another state with consumer privacy laws, you have additional rights—such as the right to know, delete, correct, restrict processing, data portability, and non-discrimination. Protecting the Confidentiality Of Current and Former Client’s Information
To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal and North Carolina state law, including computer safeguards, secured files, encrypted transmissions, and limited access to physical offices.
We retain your NPI in accordance with federal recordkeeping requirements and our internal data retention policy—typically no longer than seven (7) years after the end of our relationship, unless a longer period is required by law.
You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal or regulatory retention obligations.
Your data may be stored or processed in jurisdictions outside the United States through third-party service providers. We require such parties to maintain appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses or comparable data protection measures.

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act); we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products, and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
